Even though summertime is right around the corner, it’s never too early to start thinking about the upcoming school semester! This is especially true for families with young children; getting the little ones ready for school can be an involved process that takes a lot of time out of the weeks leading up to the first day of the semester. Not to mention, there’s a lot of school supplies to buy too!

If you and your family are planning on moving to Houston for the first time, it’s important to know where the best school districts in your area are located. Different school districts have different quality scores for the schools that they serve, and schools with higher scores often indicate a higher quality education.

What Makes A Good School District?

There are several criteria that school districts are graded on annually; some of these factors include each school’s average test scores, quality of teachers, diversity of the student body, and more. Whether or not the schools in a school district have AP programs and gifted/talented programs also contributes to the final grade. These factors also contribute to your child’s overall satisfaction with their education, so living in an area with a reputable school district is paramount. Let’s take a look at the best school districts in the Houston area for this year!
