Family Fun Days

There are a ton of family-friendly activities in the Houston region! The Space Center is a well-known location. You can discover everything there is to know about space at the NASA Johnson Space Center’s Official Visitor Center. More than 400 space artifacts, both permanent and mobile exhibitions, can be seen in the site. There are activities and even a simulation experience for people of all ages! 

A terrific spot to take the family and enjoy the outdoors is the zoo! More than 6,000 creatures from more than 600 distinct species live at the Houston Zoo. You can reserve an encounter with a giant anteater, elephants, gorillas, or Galápagos tortoises. 

Visit the Rockstar Energy Drink Bike Park to get your family outside and moving! Over 70,000 square feet of concrete bowls, concrete pump tracks, a street section, dirt jumps, and more can be found in the park. In addition, they offer a new rider clinic and training program to instruct newcomers.

Some excellent BBQ can be found at Brett’s BBQ Shop, which is ranked number 12 among Houston’s top 100 eateries. The Katy, Texas-based Brett’s BBQ offers a wide variety of cuts, sandwiches, and plates with a passion for smoked meats and amazing flavor. Additionally, they provide mouth watering weekly lunch specials from Friday through Sunday. 

Check out Burger Bodega if you’re looking for a terrific burger restaurant. They exude an energy that is unmatched, mimicking a New York bodega while embracing Houstonian influences. They provide smash burgers, fries, sodas, and shakes as part of a straightforward yet effective menu. Burgers from Burger Bodega are unlike any other burgers. 

Looking for Mexican food? Cochinita & Co. has a breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menu, so you’re covered all day long! To purchase a range of packaged foods, they also offer a lovely market within the store and at nearby farmer’s markets. They also have a food truck and are available for catering if you’re in the Houston area. 

Venture Into The Night Life

In a vibrant metropolis like Houston, Texas, there is no shortage of exciting nightlife. Everything from bars to beer gardens and honky tonks has something to offer everyone.  SoHo Garden is a nice place to have cocktails in the city. The wonderful patio at this New York City-inspired pub sets the mood for the evening. They are renowned for fusing their love of the NYC bar scene with their passion for mixology to create a new neighborhood staple. 

If you’re looking for beer, Cobble & Spoke is the place to go. You can find the ideal beer for you among the 40 local brews on draft. Additionally, they provide a variety of meads, ciders, and specially chosen small-batch wines. 

Head out to Stampede Houston, which is about 10 miles outside of the city center, if you want to experience some classic Texas honky tonk. There are several entertaining activities available at Stampede, including a mechanical bull ride, pool tables, and a 3,500 square foot dance floor. Additionally, they provide dance instruction every Friday at 8:00!
